This painting features my two favourite flowers emerging from the ground, tulips and roses. This painting reflects a period of re-emergence—returning to my practice after becoming a mother. The forms hover between bud and bloom, holding tension between protection and exposure. What appears effortless is the result of sustained discipline, time reclaimed, and the courage to dedicate myself fully to my craft again. The work honors blooming not as a moment, but as a practice—one built slowly, deliberately, and with resolve.
